HELP!!! Looking For A All Around Great Place To Stay
Looking for a great area to stay for my mom's 50th birhtdays! Its a suprise for my mom and dad! A nice accommodation, in a great area, walking distance to stores, maybe on the shore, or in the forest, not too far from the coast! can anyone give some advise? thanx
I will suggest: Tamarindo area, plenty of activities to do and the Hotel Tamarindo Diria is right on the beach and walking distance from serveral restaurants and shoppings.

I would recommend Surfside or Sugar Beach area. The environment is much more quiet with lots of retirees. There's a great couple of restaurants on the main road. One is called El Castillo (great food and fabulous capuccinos), and the other one I can't remember... but they're beside each other. Nearly everything is within a short walk. There are about 4 quiet beaches all within a short walk of each other (Playa Prieta, Playa Azucar, Playa Potrero, ...) with tons of birds and wildlife.
There's a spa in Potrero, if you want to pamper them for a day.
